The way California goes, so goes the Nation. If this is true, then the whole nation will go Tesla

Tesla sold 87,257 Model Ys in California during 2022, making it the most popular vehicle in the state. Followed closely by the Tesla Model 3, which sold 78,934 cars.
In 2022, Tesla took over the top sales title from the usual steadfast winners Toyota Camry and Toyota Corolla, who came in third and fourth respectfully.

The Tesla Model Y California sales
milestone should not me taken lightly
For several years, Toyota has dominated not only California in car sales, but also the entire United States. California leads the nation in innovation, it also, rightly or wrongly, leads the nation in many social norms. One of them being Car brand bias.
"The future is electric, and we’re making it easier and cheaper than ever before to go electric. That means more assistance to help folks buy clean cars and more charging stations in more communities throughout the state,” said Governor Newsom. “California is eliminating our dependence on oil and providing a blueprint for the entire world on how to aggressively fight the climate crisis while growing the state’s clean energy economy."
Why is this important to Tesla? Well the state of California is all in to having a Green environment as well as a green economy. Tesla is in the ideal position to take advantage of the shift to EVs. The fact that California sells more cars than any other state in America, puts Tesla in the driver seat to lead the nation in car sales.

California Moves to accelerate to 100%
zero-emissions vehicles sales by 2035
I found, from CA.gov, and YouTube, the following information that shows the solid commitment California has to Zero-Emission-Vehicles (ZEV), i.e. Tesla EVs.
Many states and nations have set targets and goals to phase out the sale of internal combustion cars. California’s is the most aggressive regulation to establish a definitive mechanism to meet required zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) sales that ramp up year over year, culminating in 100% ZEV sales in 2035.
"Once again California is leading the nation and the world with a regulation that sets ambitious but achievable targets for Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) sales. Rapidly accelerating the number of ZEVs on our roads and highways will deliver substantial emission and pollution reductions to all Californians, especially for those who live near roadways and suffer from persistent air pollution,” said CARB Chair Liane Randolph."
California decides to put gas powered cars on the extinction list.
This is a watershed moment for the Electric Vehicle conversion movement.
General requirements will lead
to much more Tesla EVs sales
The new regulation accelerates requirements that automakers deliver an increasing number of zero-emission light-duty vehicles each year beginning in model year 2026. Sales of new ZEVs and PHEVs will start with 35% that year, build to 68% in 2030, and reach 100% in 2035.
A whole lot of Tesla EVs will no dought be sold over this period of time!
More Help to buy a Tesla EV
Here are the programs that support the new regulation by increasing access to ZEVs for all Californians, including help for people who want to purchase a Tesla EV.
Clean Cars 4 All provides up to $9,500 to low-income drivers who scrap their older vehicles and want to purchase something that runs cleaner.
The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) provides up to $7,000 for income-qualified drivers to buy or lease a ZEV.
The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program provides low-income car buyers with special financing and up to $5,000 in down-payment assistance.
The goal is to continue to increase the amount of ZEVs on California roads, until that's all there is. I believe this will be achieved, and most of the ZEVs will be Tesla.
Other States will adopt California regulations
and this will lead to even more Tesla sales
States that currently follow California’s vehicle rules are expected to adopt ZEV regulations through their own rulemakings, gaining the clean air and climate benefits the regulations deliver.
These states constitute about 40% of the nation’s new car sales and and will follow California's lead to establish ZEV regulations that support clean air in their states

Tesla is the inevitable King Of The Hill
You know what they say, The way California goes, so goes the Nation. So we can expect a wave of Tesla sales across all the states in our Union, as the positive mindset continues to shift to EVs being the best option for a new car. Its only a matter of time before Tesla totally dominates the auto industry.
