Elon Musk has agreed to open up its 40,000 strong EV charger network to other EVs.
So why is Joe Biden playing nice with Tesla?
Finally Joe Biden has acknowledged the importance of Elon Musk and Tesla. It's obvious that it's in the best interest for the Whitehouse to partner with Tesla, because they have set in motion a huge goal of making 50% of US vehicles electric by 2030. The only way the Whitehouse can accomplish its ambitious goal is to tap in to the Tesla Supercharger network.
The Biden Administration has made available $7.5 billion in investments for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. At this point we don't know the details of the partnership the US government has with Tesla, nor the extent of monetary return Tesla will get.
Tesla Charging Twitter ID was first to announce the decision, by Elon Musk, to open up the Tesla Supercharging network to other EVs, including those from legacy Auto.

Joey Biden is playing nice with Tesla and Elon Musk.
"In building our EV charging network, we have to ensure that as many chargers work for as many drivers as possible. To that end, Elon Musk will open a big part of Tesla's network up to all drivers. That's a big deal, and it'll make a big difference. said President Joe Biden"
It's about time Joey! Stay cool and keep playing nice.

I think the Whitehouse is being conservative about supercharger growth.
"By the end of 2024, at least 3,500 new and existing Superchargers will be open to non-Teslas “to expand freedom of travel for all EVs,” the White House said."
Tesla will grow the the Supercharger network much faster than that.
Here you can see the annual growth rate of Tesla's Supercharger network.

The $7.5b is a lot of investment available for future EV Charger infrastructure.
"We do understand that Tesla is looking to tweak their system to be more open access. So, if they do reach that point and meet those eligibility requirements, they certainly will be eligible for funding," Stuart Anderson, head of Iowa's transportation development division."
Tesla will make a lot of money, because their Supercharger will be used the most.

The government's decision to work with Tesla instead of against them is a big deal and will accelerate both the country's and Tesla's EV ambitions.

Now even little Pete is on board with the partnership with Elon and Tesla.
"No matter what EV you drive, we want to make sure that you will be able to plug in, know the price you’re going to be paying and charge up in a predictable, user-friendly experience,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said."
What a big surprise from the Whitehouse. Well it's about time little Pete.
Tesla is going to make a lot of money opening up its Supercharger network to everyone.
The Tesla Supercharger station business is growing fast. Even President Biden had to acknowledge the importance of this network in advancing the EV future. But the street doesn't value this massive income generator at all since Tesla is just a car company. What should the valuation be?

There is no doubt this is a very big deal for Electric Videos and Tesla in particular.
"Sam Abuelsamid, principal analyst for Guidehouse Insight, said the agreement to open up Tesla chargers to non-Tesla EVs “is potentially a very big deal.."
The partnership between US Gov and Tesla is great. I hope this becomes a tread

This is a nice observation that Fred Lambert made about Tesla Superchargers.
"Tesla could become the biggest charging network operator in the world as electric vehicles take over. I can see a future where the Tesla Supercharger network is bringing in billions of dollars a year in revenue just by selling electricity to all electric vehicles. said Fred Lambert electrek Editor-in-Chief"
Billions and billions for Tesla and a sure bump for the stock and for its investors.

Magic Dock is how all electric vehicles will be able to utilize the Tesla Supercharging Network, the most reliable charging network in North America, with just one cable. This is how it works:
For Tesla: The experience is the same, the cable easily unlatches from the station and you plug in.
For CCS vehicles: When unlatching the cable from the station, it locks to a NACS-CCS adapter, allowing you to charge. The adapter is always locked, either to the Magic Dock or to the NACS connector. In normal use it will be locked to the Magic Dock and will just act as a cable holder, but when a CCS vehicle needs to charge it locks to the NACS connector and unlocks from the Magic Dock.
This relatively simple retrofit will allow Tesla to expand their charging network even further with the use of government funding, helping to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future for all. NOTE: This is just speculation based on a leaked image of the Magic Dock in the Tesla App first caught by
